Understanding the Root Causes of Distress

At High View Therapy, I believe much of our emotional discomfort comes from early and current relationships — including the one we have with ourselves. My person-centred, holistic approach helps you gently explore the beliefs and patterns shaping your well-being. I also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), which can support the release of stuck emotions and promote healing.

Person-Centred Therapy:
I work with people navigating relationship challenges — past or present. Together, we explore how experiences have shaped how you see yourself and relate to others. EMDR can be used to process unresolved emotions and support healing.

Inner Child Work:
Childhood experiences often leave hidden imprints. I support clients in exploring how early relationships shape beliefs and feelings. EMDR can help reprocess painful memories and shift the emotional weight they carry, leading to more self-understanding and relief from long-held anxiety or shame.

Understanding Shame:
Shame can quietly shape our lives. In a non-judgemental space, we can gently explore and loosen its grip, making way for more self-compassion and freedom.

Adapting to Life Changes:
Transitions — whether expected or not — can stir grief and uncertainty. I offer space to stay grounded and open during these times, turning them into opportunities for growth.

Regression and Healing:
When life feels overwhelming, old patterns may resurface. This isn’t a setback — it’s often a signal for care. Through talk therapy and EMDR, we can meet these moments with compassion and insight.

Holistic Healing:
I support emotional, relational, and physical aspects of your experience to help create deep, lasting change. I also welcome those who feel different, sensitive, or who may identify as neurodivergent. However you experience the world, your inner life is valid and worth exploring.

Together, we’ll work toward greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a more grounded sense of peace.

If you’re ready to move toward a more connected and compassionate relationship with yourself, I’d be honoured to support you.
